The STRASS trial: an important step in the right direction

As clinicians, our practice patterns are formed from a mixture of evidence-based medicine, clinical experience, and, at times, a fair amount of dogma. This reality of clinical medicine is even more so for clinicians who treat rare cancers, such as soft tissue sarcoma, in which the underlying complexity and diversity of the disease has limited the development of robust disease site-specific or histotype-specific evidence to guide clinical management.
