Insufficient Evidence for Screening Reinforces Need for Primary Prevention of Skin Cancer

Ce dossier présente une mise à jour des recommandations 2016 de l'"US Preventive Services Task Force" concernant le dépistage des cancers de la peau

The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) 2023 report on skin cancer screening concluded that there is insufficient evidence to assess the balance of benefits and harms of visual skin examination by a clinician to screen for skin cancer (I statement). The report concurs with the USPSTF 2016 report. The 2023 recommendation is supported by an updated evidence report and systematic review commissioned by the USPSTF that rigorously evaluates the benefits and potential harms of screening for keratinocyte carcinoma and cutaneous melanoma in asymptomatic adolescents and adults.
